Thank you for choosing FIVESTARBROWS for your services. Please review the following terms and policies carefully before booking your appointment.
DISCLAIMER & LIABILITY WAIVER
All services at FIVESTARBROWS are performed with the utmost care, professionalism, and in accordance with industry hygiene and safety standards.
By booking and receiving services, clients confirm they have read and understood all policies, including contraindications and aftercare, and assume full responsibility for any outcomes related to treatment.
FIVESTARBROWS and its owner are not liable for any allergic reactions, adverse effects, injuries, or unexpected outcomes that may occur during or after the appointment, including but not limited to skin irritation, hair breakage, infection, injury, or death.
It is the client’s responsibility to disclose all relevant medical history, allergies, and sensitivities prior to treatment. Failure to do so voids all liability on the part of FIVESTARBROWS.
By booking an appointment, the client agrees to waive all rights to any legal claims or lawsuits against FIVESTARBROWS. Any disputes, concerns, or complaints shall be resolved privately through mediation or mutual agreement rather than litigation or legal proceedings.
FIVESTARBROWS reserves the right to refuse service to any client who does not comply with these policies or for any reason, at any given moment.
PAYMENTS
All payments are due in full at the time of service.
Accepted payment method: CASH ONLY. No exceptions.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service fee is required to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied toward your final balance.
Deposits are non-transferable and cannot be applied to future appointments if canceled without proper notice.
There are no refunds on services rendered or deposits under any circumstances.
Prices are subject to change without notice and may vary based on service customization or time required.
In cases of late arrivals, a shortened service may be provided without a reduction in price.
If a client fails to pay for any portion of the service, they may be denied future bookings until balanced is cleared or blocked from booking.
CANCELLATIONS
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule any appointment. This allows time to offer the spot to another client.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a 50% cancellation fee, which will be charged to the card on file or deducted from your deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable and will be forfeited if proper notice is not given.
Last-minute rescheduling (within 24 hours) may be treated the same as a cancellation, especially if rescheduling occurs more than once.
Repeated cancellations, reschedules, or no-shows will result in denial of future bookings.
If you are feeling unwell or experiencing an emergency, please communicate as early as possible to avoid penalties. Consideration may be given on a case-by-case basis.
Respecting this policy helps maintain fairness and availability for all clients.
LATE POLICY
Please arrive on time to ensure the full duration and quality of your service. Arriving late may result in a shortened appointment or cancellation.
A 10-minute grace period is allowed. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your appointment may be canceled or rescheduled, and a late/no-show fee of up to 100% of the service cost may apply.
If your service must be shortened due to late arrival, the full price of the originally booked service will still be charged.
Repeated late arrivals may result in denial of future bookings or require prepayment for all future appointments.
Being respectful of appointment times helps ensure all clients receive the highest quality experience.
CONSULTATION POLICY
At FIVESTARBROWS, consultations help ensure every service is tailored to your individual features, goals, and eligibility. Please read the following consultation guidelines carefully before booking:
Virtual Consultations:
All virtual consultations will be conducted via direct message (DM to @FIVESTARBROW on Instagram) with clear photos of your current hair, skin, brows, or lashes.
The first virtual consultation for a new client or new service is free of charge.
A virtual consultation is required before accepting a new client or booking any service for the first time.
Some virtual consultations may result in the service not being approved, depending on your current condition and suitability.
In-Person Consultations:
In-person consultations are by appointment only.
If no service is performed after the consultation, a fee equal to 50% of the originally scheduled service will still apply.
This covers the time, expertise, and evaluation provided during the visit.
Service Eligibility:
Clients are required to read all of FIVESTARBROWS’ policies and ensure they are a suitable candidate before booking or showing up to any scheduled service.
FIVESTARBROWS is not liable for any in-person consultation that results in a declined service due to ineligibility or contraindications at the time of your appointment.
Important Note:
Consultations are provided to assess eligibility, share honest feedback, and ensure realistic results. If your desired outcome cannot be achieved safely or professionally, alternatives may be recommended—or service may be declined. FIVESTARBROWS reserves the right to decline any candidate not deemed eligible for any reason, any service, at any time.
GUEST POLICY
Only the scheduled client is allowed in the service area during appointments. Extra guests are not permitted unless there is a valid medical reason. In such cases, prior approval (via virtual consultation) is required, and supporting documentation may be requested.
Due to health and safety reasons, small children are not permitted under any circumstances.
We do service some teenagers, in such cases prior approval (via virtual consultation) and parental consent is required.
In accordance with rental policies, animals are prohibited on the premises.
For the safety and comfort of all clients, weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited on the premises.
Everyone is welcome at FIVESTARBROWS. I proudly provide a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for individuals of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, and religious beliefs.
BROW LAMINATION
Clients must be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent.
A patch test is recommended at least 24–48 hours prior to the appointment.
Avoid using retinoids, exfoliants, or any active skincare on the brow area for at least 3 days before and after your appointment.
Do not wet or apply makeup to the brows for 24 hours post-treatment.
Results typically last 4–6 weeks depending on hair growth and aftercare.
LASH LIFT + TINT
Clients must be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent.
A patch test is required at least 24–48 hours prior to service.
Avoid wearing mascara or using oil-based products before your appointment.
Keep lashes dry and avoid steam, saunas, or eye makeup for 24 hours post-treatment.
Results typically last 6–8 weeks with proper aftercare.
HAIRSTYLING POLICY
At FIVESTARBROWS, hairstyling services are offered exclusively for clients with hair types ranging from 1A to 3A (fine to medium texture). We specialize in a variety of heat-styled and sculpted looks for both everyday wear and special occasions.
Services Offered:
Updos: From casual, everyday styles to elegant bridal/formal looks
Heat Styling: Straightening, curling, crimping, soft waves
Braided Styles: Simple braids incorporated into updos, buns, or ponytails
Classic Styles: Sleek buns, voluminous ponytails, half-up/half-down looks
Booking Requirements:
A virtual consultation is required for all hairstyling services before booking. This ensures that your hair type, length, and desired look align with the services I specialize in.
Clients must submit current pictures of their natural hair (front, back, and side) and inspiration photos of the desired style.
Appointments will not be accepted without prior approval following the consultation.
Final pricing will be determined based on the complexity of the style and time required.
Important Notes:
I do not offer haircuts, color, blowouts, or chemical treatments.
Hair must be clean, fully dry, and detangled prior to the appointment unless otherwise discussed.
I do not work with extremely curly, coarse, matted, or tangled hair. Hair outside of the 1A–3A texture range may not be eligible for styling.
Failure to follow pre-appointment guidelines may result in a shortened service, additional fees, or cancellation without refund.

BROW & LASH REHABILITATION
At FIVESTARBROWS, our Brow & Lash Rehabilitation program is designed to restore the health, strength, and natural fullness of your brows and lashes. This process requires commitment, consistency, and trust between client and artist to achieve optimal results.
Brow & Lash Rehab is ideal for clients who have:
Have over-plucked, over-waxed, or damaged brow/lash hair (But are still able to grow hair)
Are experiencing thinning or sparse brows/lashes due to aging, stress, or past treatments
Have had a negative reaction to previous services (e.g., lash extensions, harsh tints, or aggressive waxing)
Want to restore natural fullness, strength, and healthy hair growth
Are looking to grow out their natural shape before future treatments like lamination, lifts, or tinting
By enrolling in Brow & Lash Rehab, you agree to:
Follow the recommended treatment plan, which may include lash/brow lamination, nourishing treatments, trims, or reshaping at scheduled intervals
Avoid tweezing, waxing, threading, or trimming brows between appointments unless instructed.
Avoid mascara, lash curlers, and strip lashes during the rehab period.
Use a gentle, oil-free cleanser around the eyes to keep the lash line clean without irritation.
Sleep on your back when possible to avoid lash breakage from friction.
Do not tug or rub your eyes, especially when cleansing or removing products.
Apply growth serums or nourishing oils at home daily or as recommended
Attend all appointments on time to maintain progress and monitor results
Be patient and consistent — noticeable improvements typically begin within 6–12 weeks, with full results over time
To protect your progress, please avoid:
Any form of lash or brow hair removal unless approved
Harsh skincare products or exfoliants near the lash/brow area
Lash or Brow lamination,tinting, extensions, strip lashes, microblading, or permanent makeup unless cleared as part of your plan
Skipping or rescheduling appointments excessively — this can slow down or reverse results
Disclaimer:
Brow & Lash rehab results vary based on individual hair growth, skin condition, and adherence to the treatment plan
FIVESTARBROWS is not liable for delayed results or lack of progress due to missed appointments or failure to follow aftercare instructions
This is a collaborative process, and your consistency plays a major role in the outcome
CONTRAINDICATIONS
BROW LAMINATION CONTRAINDICATIONS
Clients should not receive brow lamination if they:
Have open wounds, cuts, sunburn, acne, or any active skin conditions in the brow area (e.g., eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis)
Have had brow tattooing, microblading, or chemical peels on the brow area within the last 6 weeks
Are currently using or have recently used retinol, Accutane, benzoyl peroxide, or other strong topical prescriptions in the brow area
Are pregnant or breastfeeding without prior medical approval
Have very sparse, brittle, or severely damaged brow hairs
Have coarse, thick, tightly curled, or unruly natural brow hair that may not respond well to chemical processing
Have had a previous allergic reaction or sensitivity to perming, setting, or tinting solutions
Have undergone facial treatments (e.g., dermaplaning, microneedling, laser) within the past 2 weeks
Have a history of keloids or sensitive skin reactions
LASH LIFT + TINT CONTRAINDICATIONS
Clients should not receive a lash lift or tint if they:
Have active eye infections (e.g., conjunctivitis), styes, or inflammation
Have recently undergone eye surgery or laser procedures
Are currently using prescription eye drops or lash growth serums (stop use 2 weeks prior)
Have extremely sensitive eyes or known allergies to eye products
Are pregnant or breastfeeding, without physician approval
Have brittle, fragile, or damaged natural lashes
Have a history of watery eyes, chronic irritation, or rubbing/pulling at lashes
HAIRSTYLING CONTRAINDICATIONS
Clients should not receive hairstyling services involving heat tools or chemical products if they:
Have scalp infections, lice, open sores, or any contagious skin conditions
Have had recent chemical treatments (e.g., bleaching, coloring, perming) within 72 hours unless otherwise advised
Are allergic or sensitive to common hair product ingredients such as sulfates, formaldehyde, parabens, or fragrance
Have undergone recent scalp procedures or surgery without medical clearance
Are experiencing active hair loss or scalp inflammation (consult a dermatologist if unsure)
Are currently on medications or undergoing treatments that affect skin or hair sensitivity (e.g., chemotherapy, topical steroids)
Have extremely matted, tangled, or neglected hair that cannot be safely detangled without discomfort or damage
Have very thick or tightly coiled, hair (please inquire beforehand for services suited to your hair type)
Arrive with excessively oily, dirty, or product-heavy hair — hair must be clean and dry prior to service unless otherwise stated for a specific treatment
Have had recent chemical services (bleaching, coloring, perming) within 72 hours
BROW & LASH REHABILITATION CONTRAINDICATIONS
Clients may not be eligible for brow or lash rehabilitation if they:
Are unable to grow hair (hair follicle is damaged due to over plucking or health/skin conditions)
Have active skin conditions in the treatment area (e.g., eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, or open sores)
Are currently experiencing an active eye infection, stye, or conjunctivitis
Have undergone recent eye or brow surgery, including blepharoplasty, without medical clearance
Are using medications that affect hair growth or skin sensitivity (e.g., Accutane, chemotherapy, topical steroids)
Have severe allergies or known sensitivity to brow/lash serums, oils, or treatment products
Are pregnant or breastfeeding without prior approval from a medical provider
Are unwilling to follow aftercare instructions or attend consistent appointments
Have experienced hair loss due to untreated medical conditions such as alopecia areata or trichotillomania (consultation required)
Have undergone microblading, brow tattooing, or lash extensions very recently (waiting period may be required)
PRE-SERVICE POLICY
Clients must follow the pre-service guidelines below to ensure the best results and a smooth appointment experience:
Cash is the only form of payment accepted. Please ensure you stop and withdraw cash prior to your appointment.
Arrive on time. Clients more than 10 minutes late may be rescheduled or charged a late fee.
Look up the studio address ahead of time and enter it into your maps app to confirm exactly where the suite is located and how far it is from your location.
Arrive with a clean face and/or hair— For brow or lash services: no makeup, skincare, or oils on the treatment area— For hair styling: clean, dry hair free of oils or heavy products
Avoid applying any active skincare products (e.g., retinol, AHA/BHA, acne treatments) to the treatment area at least 72 hours prior to your appointment.
Refrain from waxing, tweezing, or threading the brows 3–5 days before your appointment.
Disclose any allergies, medications, or medical conditions prior to your appointment.
Complete all required consultations prior to service — virtual consultations must be done via DM with clear photos.
Arrive in comfortable and or warm clothing. Be prepared to be laying or sitting down for extended periods of time (30 minutes or longer).
Remove contact lenses prior to your appointment if you are receiving any lash or eye-area services.
Plan your schedule accordingly. Make sure you have enough time following your appointment so that you are not rushed. A rushed client may result in an unfinished service or cancellation.
AFTERCARE POLICY
Proper aftercare is essential to preserve your results and prevent irritation or damage. Below are detailed aftercare guidelines for each service:
Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided at the end of your appointment based on the specific service you received.
Following proper aftercare is essential to achieving the best, safest, and longest-lasting results. This includes avoiding water, heat, exercise, makeup, or harsh products for a specified time, depending on the service.
Failure to follow aftercare instructions may result in premature fading, irritation, breakage, allergic reaction, or other complications.
FIVESTARBROWS is not responsible for any undesired results or sensitivities caused by neglecting or incorrectly following aftercare advice.
Touch-ups or corrections due to poor aftercare will not be offered free of charge.
For any concerns after your appointment, clients must notify FIVESTARBROWS within 48 hours of their service for evaluation.
Clients agree to take full responsibility for their post-service care and any results that arise from it.
BROW LAMINATION AFTERCARE
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid the following:
Getting your brows wet (no steam, sweating, or washing)
Applying makeup, oils, or skincare products to the brow area
Touching, rubbing, or sleeping directly on your brows
Exposing brows to direct sunlight or heat (e.g., exercise,saunas, hot showers)
After 48 hours:
Gently brush your brows daily using a clean spoolie to maintain shape
Apply a nourishing oil or conditioner (castor oil or brow serum) to keep brow hairs hydrated
Avoid harsh exfoliants or retinoids in the brow area for 5–7 days
LASH LIFT + TINT AFTERCARE
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid the following:
Getting your lashes wet (no swimming, steam, crying, exercise, or washing your face with water)
Applying mascara, lash serums, lash extensions, or eye makeup
Using lash curlers or rubbing your eyes
Lying on your face or lashes while sleeping
After 48 hours:
Use a lash conditioner or nourishing oil (optional, but recommended)
Avoid waterproof mascara or oil-based removers, as these can weaken the lift
Do not pull or rub your lashes
Gently brush lashes daily to keep them lifted and neat
HAIRSTYLING AFTERCARE
Immediately after styling:
Avoid water, rain, or humidity for at least 24 hours to maintain the style
Do not apply heavy oils, creams, or styling products unless recommended
For prolonged style longevity:
Sleep with a satin or silk scarf or bonnet to prevent frizz and preserve the style
Avoid excessive brushing or combing to maintain the finished look
If heat styling was used, apply a heat protectant before any touch-ups
Use lightweight, alcohol-free products to refresh your style as needed
Avoid exercise or physical activities that may cause hair to shift or frizz
